Welcome to the Strength and Physique website!  I'm James, personal trainer for the professional and weekend warrior.  I am a police officer for the University of California Police Department.  I'm also a certified personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditoning Association.  From time to time, I train a handful of clients ranging from off-duty law enforcement to white collar professionals.  My training articles have appeared in various publications, such as "Planet Muscle" magazine and T-nation.com.  My book Strength and Physique, V1 is available on Amazon.com.


I specialize in three areas of personal training:

1.       Strength training - Where I train you to be strong.

2.       Bodybuilding - Where you gain muscle and/or lose fat to achieve whatever physique and look you desire.

3.       Law enforcement physical training - Where I prepare you for the academy, SWAT, or physical performance on patrol.


When it comes to getting results, follow this rule: "Plan your workout and workout to your plan."

I come from an old school bodybuilding philosophy, where if you lift heavy and intelligently focus your efforts, then you’ll build an impressive muscular physique.  Since I’m a police officer, my time is limited.  I take on clients who have an iron will to match the heavy iron they will lift.
